Evangelist Sued On Assigned Claim.
Kvangelist K. J. Bulgtn, who is con
ducting services in . the V temporary
tabernacle on the Kast Side, waa sued
yesterday in the district court for $125
fees for plana and specifications of a
house to cost approximately $20,000
for Mr. Bulgin. The plans and Bpeoi-
iicatiOBs were drawn by, J.' B. Cham
bers, an architect, - but the suit' is
brought by R, L). Hardin, to whom the
claim was assigned. The sum of $2a

for Mr. Bulgin to secure an option on

Bine Prints of Nav Bridge. "We
have sent out blue prints enough to
make a path from Portland to Van
couver." said E. E. Howard, of Har
rington, Howard & Ash. engineers of
the interstate bridge, this morning, dis
cussing preparations for -receiving bids.
In all. about 3000 of these prints
have been prepared so far for pros
pective bidders." Special specifications
covering wocd block paving have been
received and bids for such paving will

pretty girls, members of a steno
graphy class of a private school, are
putting in some time today : taking
stenographic notes of the testimony
in a case on trial in Circuit Judge

Business Man Sentenced to Jail-
For driving his automobile while in
toxicated. W. 8. McHugh. president of
the Marsh "Printing company, was
yesterday given seven days in the city
Jail by Municipal Judge Stevenson.
The arrest grew out of a collision be
tween his machine and one driven, by
S. C. Morton of St. Helens, at Twelfth
and Alder streets. Patrolman Morris
and other witnesses testified that the
McHugh machine was going down the
wrong side of the street.

amount be obtained from the govern
ment, 20,000 to 25,000 acres could be
