The ' "Seagull," on the ocean front
has been opened for the summer by
Mrs. Gunther and her three sons,
Chester, J. C, and Preston, all of Port
land.
After a week's stay at their sum
mer home on Third avenue, Mrs. Clay
S. Moorse and family are returning to
their Eaat Portland home.
C. A. Bottom and family are located
for tho summer on Third avenue.
In a cottage out4 on Tenth avenue
are located Mrs. E. Galvln and chil
dren, the W. N. LiUls family and the
Charles Llllis family, all having the
best of times at their Seaside rest
dence.
Miss Kitty Mathews, of Holton, Or.,
Is occupying her cottage on Third av
enue.
After a run in an automobile over
the Columbia river road from Port
land to Seaside, Herbert Sessions and
Nellls Hamlin of Portland, arrived
late Saturday evening at Seaside. The
young men took the trip easily, mak
ing it in two days-. The young mn
came to Seaside for the summer. Camp
baa been established in the woods near
Seaside. , "
A delightful evening's entertain
ment was provided at Hotel Torey on
Wednesday evening, "bridge" being the
feature of the entertainmnt. Luncheon
was served by the hostesa -late in the
evening-. . v " '
Mrs. L. P. Bennett and Mrs. C- E.
Jackson and son Huston are spending
10 flays in Mrs. M. C. Howie's cottage.
Messrs. , Bennett and Jackson came
down for the week end.
