pleaded for leniency. Mrs, Mora will
draw $1 a day support from the county
while he is on the rockpile. The county
commissioners yesterday approved a
warrant for 15.25 for the support of
thei three children of Kugene Harvey,
who was sentenced to nine monthn on
. the rotkpile when he pleaded guilty to
non-support of the children before

dren draw 25 cents a day each from the

the Interstate bridge will come up for
a hearing tomorrow afternoon before
Circuit Judge Cleeton on a demurrer
filed by District Attorney Evans. It
is thought' that no arguments win be
made, and that by agreement Judge
Cleeton will be asked to sustain the
demurrer that the case may be taken
at once to the supreme court for deci
sion. $

tate of her mother, Mabel E. Carr, who
died April IS, leaving a small amount
of personal property and some Port
land lots and Multnomah county acre
age. John A. Carr, a son, is the other
heir.
Louisa C. Bennett, who died Febru
ary 24, left $250 to each of two sons
and the residue of a $1640 estate to
her husband, Hiram Bennett, whom
she named executor of her will, ac
cording to his petition for probate of
the will. :

Oregon Electric Sleeper
Inheritance Tax levied. Inheritance
taxes of $192.27 will be paid to the
state by Mrs. Anna C. Basler and her
three daughters on their portions of
the estate of Joseph Basler, who died
recently. The estate Is valued at $53,
13.37. but indebtedness and expenses
have left $39,494.97 as the net value
of the estate to be distributed to the
widow and daughters. Mrs. Basler re
ceives m.3fi3.53 and each daughter
$8620.54 from the estate.
