What Is t
Perfect
Sight? ;
Herein is an account i of HOW
YOU SEE. j f
If your eyes are perfect it will
help you to understand the eye; it
not, you will appreciate eur telling
you why they are not perfect.
. Probably you will say that any
one who can see clearly has a per
fect eye. But that is not so.
The eye may be described as a
fiearly perfect sphere. On the back,
nside. Is an exceedingly sensitive
screen called the retina. About one
sixth way back is the crystalline
lens. In the very front is the
cornea, and between the different
parts is a Jellylike substance, abso
lutely transparent. In- a healthy
eye, which holds the eye in perfect
sli&PG
The light comes into the eye first
through the cornea, then crystal
line lens, and in a perfect eye cen
ters on the retina, and from there
telegraphs to the brain,, and thus
forms a clear picture of all objects
before the eye.
A moving picture maohine gives
a very clear example of the eye.
First, the screen would represent
the retina. Second, the lens would
represent the crystalline' lens and
cornea
The reflection of the light
through the lens onto the screen is
a fair example of the workings of
an eye.
In the moving picture machine
the different parts are adjustable
so that the distance between it and
the screen can be modified and a
clear image obtained.
In the eye the muscles change
the shape of the crystalline lens to
obtain the same result, i
Only a small percentage of peo
ple at the present timo have per
fect eyes, and of those) that need
artificial aid only a few realize it.
To know the real state of your
eyes to know how they really are"
not merely how they seem if
you will call, I shall be glad to
give you a free consultation.
I positively do not recommend
glasses unless they are. needed. I
can furnish you a lens for 75c and
up, and a guarantee with all my
work. i
