Have you seen the busiest man in Portland? Perhaps you don't know
who he is, or where to find him, but we'll tell you. Listen!
If s Santa Claus at the Toy Fair at Meier & Frank's
You know he only has 6 more days in which to make his plans, and
hie himself off to the Cold, Cold North so as to make the run from
the North Pole to each boy's and girls' home on Christmas Eve. And
these 6 days will surely be the busiest and most exciting, he's: had yet.
And the Toy Fair coming on . these last few days has helped to keep
him fairly bubbling with things to do and say. But he has been made
so happy by the throngs of happy children that have come to the Toy
Fair and."Oh'd" and "Ah'd" as he loves to have them do that he is
even happier than before. So if you haven't- met him "face to face,"
children, come to the Toy Fair tomorrow,-and have a nice "comfy" visit
with one of your best friends the joyous, smiling, kindly, merry old
Chap that we call "Santa Claus."

A "real'Vcircus pony, and a "real" circus clown are quite appro
priate for a Fair, aren't they? And so for the great Toy Fair, now
being , held at this store, we have secured Robert Thornton, a
world-renowned clown, and "Romeo" the laughing and talking
pony that has won his way into the hearts of thousands upon
thousands of people. Theyr'e a most entertaining and unique
pair,8 this comical clown and trained pony, and are affording
great amusement to the thousands of visitors to the Toy Fair
; now in progress in the New Basement Annex.
