to, minor officials of the road. John
F. Stevens has not been in the Great
Northern offices for over a year and
th quarrel which arose between Stev
ens and I. W. Hill two years ago Is

J. H. Young was In St Paul about
October 15, conferring with President
Grey, but Mr. Grey Insists that only rou
tin operating problems were discussed.
The foregoing ; dispatch contradicts
rumors of a shake-up in the affairs cf
th Great Northern railroad, as pub
lished In a local afternoon paper yes
