Trouble among the members . Of the
bricklayers' union and the contractors
in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and
Saskatchewan Is expected witnin a snort
time, aa a result of the stand taken by
tha contractors, refusing to deal with
the bricklayers s a union. The contrac
tors have offered wages of 70 cents an
hour, while the members of the union
demand 75 cents an hour.. ;

1 With the signing ; of nine widows'
pensions this afternoon and the grant
ing4 of eight more next Thursday. Judge
Gatens, of, the. Juvenile court will have
provided II mothers with assistance In
accordance with the pension law. .The
total monthly amount of pensions will
be 11820. The nine to be signed today
have already been nald and the liisrninir
ia the mere formality. The eight for
next Thursday have been passed upon

The attorney general held that the pen
sion mjlght be granted. Final decision
on this will be made by Judge Catena.
