To The Meier & Frank Company: We, as employes of that company, desire to evidence in our meager way the kindliness we feel for the many acts of
consideration that have been shown to us during our employment. And particularly at this time we feel a deep gratitude to The Meier & Frank Company for
the voluntary and considerate spirit in which they recently announced to us that, effective May 1, 1913, we would enjoy an actual eight-hour working day and
that the women amongst us would receive a commensurate Minimum Wage, based on a schedule of advancement for increased efficiency. ,
We furthermore wish to convey our sincere wish that the dawning new yearvin the annals of The Meier & Frank Store will be greatly benefited by our
continued and hearty co-operation. . "
We, the undersigned employes of The Meier & Frank Company, wish to publicly announce, without the knowledge or consent of our employers, these
sentiments in appreciation of the consideration to us that we find ever manifest. J
