the confession, of George Rost, alias
Gerhert, Stein and Oebhardt, a former
accomplice of Peter Miller, a prisoner
In the King county jail, the latter is to
be charged by Prosecuting Attorney
Murphy with the murder of Hugh Mc
Mahon, a saloonman who was garroted
here on. the night of November 2rl08.
Miller was sentenced by Judge Clifford
in Tacoma, Saturday, to from 20 to 40
years in the penitentiary as an habitual
