' There is nottilng more charming than
a happy and healthy mother of children,

beauty. The unexplainable thing Is
that, with all the evidence of shattered

an unprepared condition, and with am

will persist in going blindly to the trial.
Every woman at this time should rely

Huntington, Or4 March 20. Marshal
Ed Hannon bids fair to disappoint

declared that If elected be would play
no favorites, but see that the law was
fully enforced, and the beauty .of It is
ho la making good.
For the first time In the history ef
the city calaboose, It Is receiving a
complete house cleaning. It was the
filthiest city Jail in the state. Hannon
begun by - burning all 7 bedding and
clothing up that was found in
tne
plaoe, getting men to sarup with
strong lye, walls, celling and floors
of the cells.- - ,"!' .
Then' he notified the young sports
about town to keep out of the saloons.
A few days ago he arrested a young
man, a minor, whom he had warned to
keep out of the boose Joints, '
, Every minor in the place has received
notice that -from now on they must
keep out. This is also In a measure
the future policy of the saloon men
themselves. '
But Hannon Was not satisfied with
this. Seeing a number of women of the
underworld dropping Into" town, he es
corted them to the depot and told them
to take . the first train out, Thed did
It. Then he turned around and arrested
the Jap rooming house man for renting
one of them a room.
And Huntington ia,asklng what It all
means, whether it-la the , reel thing
that is to be the future policy of the

spasm of city righteousness. At any
rate, every one is disposed to accept It
