afternoon from a shopping tour, she did
not know' there was' a burglar hidlrg In
the house. Slio placed her handbag on
a table In the living room, and' went
to the basement to start the furnace
fire. While the woman was in tho base
ment, the burglar crept from his
hiding placeT took $5 from the bandbag
and broke out of th house by way of a
rear window. When the woman returned
to the living room the theft was dis
covered. The burglar gained entrance
by breaking a window. Neighbors saw
the man at the rear of the house, but
did not suspect him to be a burglar.
