Oood Sheep In Demand.
While there Is practically no encourag
ment for Interior Interests to ship poor
mutton to the North "Portland yards at
thla time, there la an excellent call, ut
the price, for good quality. Mopt of the !
stuff that came forward today wa sold I
prior to arlval but some 'cutters'' were I
shown, which made the average lens.
Sheep tru.de Is generally good at all
points east of the Rockies. At Kansas
City there was an advance of 5 to 10c
for the day with 6000 head offering.
Chicago had 8500 sheep in the yards
this morning. Trade was strong at un
changed values.
