Vancouver, Wash., April 19. At 4:30
o'clock yesterday afternoon, George
Webber, 30 years old and a tree feller
for the C. K. Stone Lumber company at
Sara, was struck on the head by a small
sapling on its rebound after being- bent
over by a falling tree and his skull
was crushed. He was taken to the
home of his mother a mile from tha
scene of the accident and Dr. Herbert
Leiser of Vancouver was summoned. Af-
ter examining the Injured man Dr. Le!-
ser summoned the ambulance from Van-
couver to convey him to St. Joseph's

al, four hours after the accident. .
Mr. Webber had been In the. employ
of the company for two years and was
unmarried, rie lived with his widowed
mother, and besides her, is survived by
