at Washington by Postmaster Merrick
that th propod location of station
"D" In th fireproof building to b
erected by M. Klappery Just south of
Powell street on Milwaukl street baa
been accepted and a lease algned for 10
rears. Th naw sud station is 10 nav
a floor space of 26x78 ft sufficient
for years to come.
Th station Is to be fitted out entirely
new" and In tha very latest and most
modern equipment The nxtures are
to be of hardwood, as In all of the sta
tions built within the last few years.
The lease goee into effect July . The
new location Is a block from the old one.
Two clerka and seven carriers comprise
the force at present
The Bavarian postal service utilizes
144 motor vehicles, operated on 67 lines,
