Most of Mr. DreWa leading women

woman. In the profession It la looked
upon aa a regular step John Drew's

Mlsa Blllle Burke made tha step,
though much more quickly than usual.
The very next time Miss Burke came to
Portland and that was a year and a
half later ahe waa a star.
In the spring of 1908 Miss Burka waa
first aeen here aa Mr. Drew's leading
woman in "My Wife." In tha autumn
of 1901 ahe came back aa a star In
"Love Watchea." Big aa her success

The two playa were by the same auth
ors MM. da Flera and de Calllavet. and
her role In each waa similar an In
nocent, though very mischievous
maiden.
Mlsa Burke In "Mra. Dot." will play
an entirely different rola from either

Considering tha number of cool daya
