arrangement whereby a deputy Is placed
In the superintendent's office, that offi
cial will perform the duties of the sec
ond supervisor.

The Oregon Immigration oommtsslon
recently appointed by Governor West
will meet soon to organise and formu
late a program, W. E. Coman, chairman
of the commission, announced yesterday.
The other members of the commission
are LeRoy Park, John Scott, Thomaa C
Burke and A. S. Hofer Jr.
Mr. Park, having made a special study
of Immigration problems. Is regarded aa
especially valuable to the oommtsslon.
He has represented the United States In
several foreign countries, making a close
tudy of the people, and determining
which nationalities would make the most
acceptable Immigrants to thle country.
