kins, who has renounced the provision
made for her in the senator's will and
will claim dower rights In his 120,
000,000 estate, and below, Miss Kath
erlfie Elklns, her daughter, who will
benefit by her mother's claim. Mrs.
Elklns is believed to have taken thts
action for the sake of her five chil
dren, so that they may ultimately re

"the first Mrs. Elklns. Under the laws
of West Virginia, the Elklns home
state, the widow is entitled to one
third. Under the senator's will the
entire estate was left tn trust for
five years. At the expiration of that
time it was to bs divided equally

klns was given the Washington homo,
the summer home and f 26,000 a year.
By claiming her third shs cuts the
share of the two children by the first
wife. Her five children will each
receive one seventh of the remaining
two thirds, but when Mrs. Elklns dies
she can divide among them the 6,
