' long time among attorneys practicing at
the municipal' court. On many cases,
the only thing1 to Indicate a charge Is
the name on the police court docket.

City Engineer Morris has completed
his estimates of the cost of the pro
posed high bridge across the Willamette
river at Woodward avenue, plans for
which were filed by the city engineer
some time ago. The total estimate Is

After City Auditor Ijarour, at a meet
ing of all the toiithent and southwest
side push clubs hold In St. Lawrence
hall. Third and Sheridan streets, last
night, announced that .me plans and
estimates for the new bridge had been
completed, it was decided to name a
committee of these clubs later to pre
pare an Initiative petition to put on
the ballot a bond issue sufficient to de
fray the cost of acquiring rights of way
for the bridge and for construction.
