The panel was called to replace members of the regular Jury living outside of Multnomah county who had been excused by Judge Wolver. ton to go home for Christmas. . There was decided objection on the part of some of those called for Jury service to serving. Several pleaded deafness.. ' One man said he was deaf in one ear. Judge Wolverton wouldn't ex cuse him.
