Orocers Jiake Merry Thoughts of
the pound measure and the prloe of

Portland Retail Grocers' association
yesterday, for they confined all their
efforts to having a good time at their
annual picnic, which was held at Canby.
The plcnlo was held In. the Clackamas
county fair grounds and was adjudged
the "most successful rn the history of
the organization. Two special trains of
15 coaches took the grocers and their
families and friends to Canby, where
stores and business establishments were
decorated for "the occasion. The day
was crammed with pleasure, One of
the big features of the day was the
baseball game between the retail grocers
and olty salesmen, which the latter won.
Much of the credit for the success of
the plcnlo Is given Jo Secretary Merrick.

warrant was for exceeding the speed

little significance to the charge. He
