Wheat I VI res Easier.
While there Is no business In the
wheat market, the tone is easier and
tidewater. Interests have reduced their
bids another cent a bushel all around
putting bluestem at $1.17 and club at
11.07 a bushel, track delivery.
Country people do not take kindly to
the lower range, and this lias stopped
entirely the movement of wheat at all
centers in the Pacific northwest.
Flour is quiet with no change In
prices.

of J. M. Arthur & Co., vs. Michael L.
Cawley, a case of alleged wrongful use
or writ of injunction, is being tried In
superior court today. The complaint
alleges inai me aerenoant pought a
donkey engine from tha plaintiff with
the understanding that' the machine
should remain the property of the plain
tirr until such a time as it was fully
paid for; later the defendant sold the
engine to Tcnny & Tappendorph, and
ceased making further payments; the
plaintiff attempted to take the engine
and was restrained by a writ of Injunc
tion Issued at the Instance of Cawley.

Because of the severe' droD in swino
values in the east due to the delerml-i
nation of labor unions there to cut meat
oft their bill of fare for the period of
60 days local hor Drlces are materially
easier and buyers are not offering with
in 25c of former prices.
There was a sprinkling of sheep in
the vads today but considering the
famine that has existed for so- long a
eriod, prices paid are not more than
5c hirher. This, however, haa been
the prediction made by The Journal.
