OREGON STATE INSANE
ASYLUM.
Salem, Or., June 8, 1909. The board
of trustees of the Oregon State Insane
Asylum hereby Invites sealed proposals
for furnishing the following supplies to
that Institution for the alx months end
ing December 31, 1909: Dry goods,
rrocerles, hardware, plumbing, tinning,
urniture, shoes, clothing, meats and
fish, leather and findings, crockery and
glassware, flour and mill feed, station
ery and drugs. Lists of said supplies
will be furnished by the clerk of the
board upon application. Samples can be
seen at the asylum, and goods must be
In accordance therewith. Where sam
ples sre required and not furnished by
bidders the articles must be equal to
samples at the asylum, and the bids
will be assumed to have been made on
basis of samples. All goods must be in
strict accordance with sample in orig
inal packages if possible and delivered
at the Insane asylum within 20 days
after contract Is awarded. Bids must
be In blank form, which will be fur
nished, together with Instructions to
bidders by the clerlt. upon application.
Each bid on flour or meat must be ac
companied by a certified check for $300,
and each bid on fish by a certified check
of $75, and all other bfds by certified
checks equal to 10 per cent of the
amount of the aid: checks Of unsuccess
ful bidders will be returned immediately.

outside. "Bids for Asylum Supplies,"
and the class of goods should also be In

a particular article is specifically called

or brand equally as good will be enter
tained, but to Insure recognition of such
bids samples of the articles It is pro
posed to supply must accompany them.
The board of trustees reserves the right
to reject any or all bids, or to accept or
reject anv part of a bid. Bids will be
opened at the executive chambers, In
the state capitol. at Salem, Oregon, at 3
p. m. on Tuesday, July 6, 1909.

ited from confirming accounts of pur
chasers which do not comply with sec
