Los Angeles, June 12. The Angels
wreaked vengeance on the visitors when
they took the Saturday afternoon game
by the decisive score of T to 1. Dillon's
men took a convincing lead in the first
inning and had command of the situa
tion during the remainder of the day.
Francois Hosp was in fair fettle, hold
ing the villagers to four hits.
The helpless condition of the Hogan
ites was shown in the sixth inning
when they had three-men on bases with
nobody out. yet were unable to score.
Johnny Beall was on hand with his daily
home-run swat.
The- big Chlcagoan dropped the ball
over the center field fence in the open
ing inninir. The hit was high and clean.
Clearing the pine wall by at least 20
feet. Daley scored Rosa from second
base in the second Inning when he
slugged a ground ball that baffled the
efforts of both Eagan and Martlnke.
Vernon's solitary tally was made In
the third inning.
