complete disillusionment brought about
by an accidental meeting with the wife
of the man whom she savs aha was en
gaged marry, Misa Jennie McKensle of
Tuma, Aria., la considering whether she
will bring suit for breach of promise
sgalnat William C. Weandt, a - well
known horseman of this city.
Weandt la alleged by Mis McKensle
to have brought her from Tuma to thia
city, where thev were to have been mar
ried today, despite the fact that Weandt
haa a wife of whose existence Miss Mc
Kenzle did "not know "until yesterday.
The Tuma girl by chance met Mrs.
Weandt, who Ta of a prominent family
at Santa Monica, at a reception hf re.
When aha learned Mrs. Weandt's Iden
tity Miss McKensle told the wife of
Weandt'a courtship, with the result that
they planned to entrap the horseman.
Mrs Weandt was secreted in the
apartment of Mlnsx McKencle when
Weandt called and Is said t hare heard
enough to convince her of the truth of
Miss McKensle'a charges. .
When exDosed. Wanrit became anirr
and struck Miss McKsnsIs several
times with an umbrella. .She had him
arrested on a charge of -battery, to
which he Dlesded auiltv and naid a fine
