GREAT CROWD SEES
LITTLE ONES DRILL
Multnomah club's gymnasium literal
ly bulged With humanity last night at
the exercises attendant upon the an
nual Ladies' night. Over -400 members
of the junior boys and girls' classes
took part in the program, which was
undoubtedly tha best ever directed by
Prof. Krohn, tha M. A C. physical di
rector. Handling so large a class on
the floor at one time Is no easy task
and Prof. Krohn deserves full credit
for the excellent showing of his young
pupils. v .-. .
The assembling march, which brought
all the members of the various Junior
classes on the floor at one time, was
prettily executed. The different divi
sions were uniformed distinctly and
made a harmonious . and inspiring
picture.
Probably the prettiest feature of the
evening and the one most deftly exe
cuted was tha figure dance performed
by 16 girls of the advanced girls' class.
It was so graceful, so technically cor
rect as to cau form a vigorous encore,
finch danclnar can only be accomplished
after -careful and conscientious training
and was worm ail ox tne applause De
stowed upon it.
Th, hasinnara srlrla and nova classes
were very effective in their drills and
callsthenlo movements. The apparatus
work of the beginners boys' class, in
cluding horizontal bar, rings, high Jump
and horse leaping, was very good. The
wand drill and chariot race by the
night junior class was also very af
fective. .':. ' .
Another very interesting number on
tha program was the apparatus work of
the beginners girls' class. This Included
ladder climbing and pole climbing. The
mixed drill of the advanced glrlsr class
b olovarlv executed. The night
Juniors in their apparatus work dis
played an excellent knowledge of this
feature of physical culture. The flying
rings and parallel bars by the Junior
leaders' class and the table vaulting of
tha girls was exceedingly good.
All the drills were executed to the
accompaniment of Parsons' orchestra.
One of the features of the evening
and one which appealed to the feminine
portion of the audience, as . evidenced
by the applause, was the wrestling ex
hibition by Instructor . O'Connell and
Edgar Frank. The various shifts, holds
and head spins were new to -them anil
tha startling rapidity wun wnicn inoy
were executed caused a ripple of ex
citement among the women.

Aberdeen, Wash., Dec 10. The right
of a railroad to cross state harbors'

the upland '. owner, 1. and without com
pensation for damage done on account
of the loss of the -harbor area, has be
come a factor in the condemnation suit
of the Grfeys Harbor & Puget Sound
railway (Union Pacific) against the
Vulcan Iron works.
The Question today went up to the
supreme court for solution. A writ
of review, returnable at Olympla, was
granted, which acts as a stay of pro
ceeding. The order of the supreme
court caused the postponement of the
trial, which was set for this morning
before Judge Irwin, in the Chehalis
county court. The case is regarded
as a test case, being the first one set
for trial of those brought by the rail
road for entrance to the waterfront
of Aberdeen.
A new phase is given the proceed
ings by the interpretation of the state.
Land Commissioner E. W. Ross has
announced that he will request At
torney General Atkinson to Intervene
on behalf of the state as against the
railroad.
Attorney Able, In his argument be
fore the supreme court on behalf of
the Vulcan company, stated that the
railroad wanted lands that were worth
linn 000 tn the Vulcan company, and
that the company would be greatly
damaged If the railroad should cross
tho harbor area, for which application
for a lease had been made by Mr.
Hulme of the Vulcan Iron works.
The defense claims the priority of
right to the harbor area of the upland
owner, while Judge Irwin has ruled
that the railroad might occupy the
harbor area without regard to such
rights.

For years I have been talking through the
columns of this paper on matters of health,
and thousands have profited by my advice and
consultation, many of whom needed nothing
in the way of treatment, but good, wholesome
advice, which I always give cheerfully.
In getting and maintaining health there is
nothing more uncommonly displayed by the
average man than good, common sense. They
seem determined to never know the worth of
water until the well runs dry. They throw
away their health by indiscretion and neglect
as though their bodies were machines that
could never wear out Today I want to im
press upon you the importance of losing after
your health. Don't let the canker worm of
delay hypnotiie you into neglect but get the
"today habit." Come over today and let us
examine the nerve tensions and have a free,
confidential, heart-to-heart talk about your
health. If I can do you no good I will cer-
taily do you no harm. We have been much longer established in
Portland than any other specialist in our line and furnish the best
bank and personal references. The truths contained in my Medical
Encyclopedia of 950 pages is indisputable authority over the United
States, so why not get your information from the fountain head?

The Scientific Treatment of Weakness
Dosing the system with powerful stimulants and tonics in an effort
to restore functional vigor can have but one final result: The condi
tion is rendered worse than before. "Weakness" is merely an indica
tion of a low form of inflammation in the prostate gland, and this in-;
flammation is but aggravated by stimulating remedies that excite
temporary activity. I employ the only scientific and fully effective
treatment for "weakness," which effects a permanent cure by restoring
the prostate gland to a sound and healthy state. I obtain Complete re.
suits in every case I treat. Interesting literature and a beautifully
engraved chart free If you will call.
