In a mild way the other colleges of
the northwest have taken up the game,
but none has ever attempted to form
a. collegiate wrestling league. However,
the advent of eastern wrestling instruc
tors and physical directors in tne norm
west will undoubtedly see a wrestling
league lormeo. Derore winter is over.
It is customary for the eastern col
leges to engage In dual meets, winding
up the season with an Intercollegiate
meet. At this meet there are seven
classes in competition, the 115, 125, 135,
145, 158, 175 pound ana neavyweignt.
This range allows practically every man
in college to try out for the wrestling
icam.

Portland may have a chance to sea
the best soccer football team in Cali
fornia during the holiday season, pro
vide! the local club- conclude to assist

fornia Football association, tha power

around San Francisco bar and in tha
Sacramento valley with Jurisdiction over
1,000 players, wanting to send a team
north for seven or eight games with
Portland. Tacoma. Seattle. Victoria and
Vancouver.
In' return the Callfornlans agree to
take a northern team to California next
year. By this plan it is hoped to-cement
soccer relations between the north and
south and establish a yearly alternate
Journey for some team .in the two -sections
of the Pacific slope.
