tlcularly true along streets
where there are many treea th
branches of which extend over
the tracks. Tha leaves are al-
moat as bad aa sleet, and make
th tracks so slippery that the
motormen have a great deal of
trouble In stopping on, hillsides.
The brakes are useless, the cars

were greased. -

Kansas . City,' Mo., recently. In
which three cars were demol-
lshed and numerous passengers

car got beyond control, owing to
