perhaps claimed more victims from the

the upper Cowlits has
been very low because of the prolonged
dry weather, but the storms 'of the past
few daya are expected to give It a rise
of several Inches when it will be pos
sible to operate the Chester, which
drawiyfcnly a few Inches.
In the meantime the Chester has been
thoroughly overhauled and placed, in
rood condition for the winter's work.
