CYCLONE AT SEA IS
VISIBLE 30 MINUTES
Ocean Park, Cal., Oct. 17. Residents
of Ocean Park were frightened today
by a gigantic waterspout that formed
about eight miles off shore and held a
column of water 1,000 feet In the air
ror hair an hour, berore moving south
ward. Heavy black clouds gathered
about half way between Point Vincent
and Point Firmln about 7:30 o'clock
this morning. Suddenly swooolne down
