Two more divorce cases have been
filed In the circuit court with desertion
aa, the cause of suit Nettle E. Pierce
claims that Elmer H. Pierce abandoned

They were married In Toledo, Ohio, May
17, 1900. J. E. May Alleges that Delia
May, to whom he "was married at
Spokane In November. 1906, deserted
him In September, 1907, less than one
year after the ceremony.
The Commercial club members at a
special meeting laat evening voted to
admit life members to the club upon the
payment of a life membership fee of
$2o0. ' Inasmuch aa this would eoual
the 'dues for only a little over eight
years It Is believed that many will
take advantage of the offer and pur
chase the memberships. It was also
decided to begin a campaign for new
