lawyer and politician of this city, last
night. She is described ss a striking
brunette and the police have learned
that she Is a resident of San Francisco.
Scheel was in his office when the
mysterious woman entered. Shortly af
terward he summoned a surgeon to take
care of a knife cut which extended from
his forehead to- his chin and that re
quired 20 stitches to close.
