Olbany, Or., Oct IS. A rather
remarkable Incident occurred 8aturdav
and Sunday when three deer were killed
within a few miles of this city. Hun
ters who have been in the mountains
report a hard time in making: any kind
of a killing, but In these cases but very
little exertion was wasted.
- The first deer waa killed on tba Dick
son farm by Will Dickson. Another
war killed Sunday at North Lawson, a
fine black tailed fellow, on the farm of
T. t. Dugger. Ralph Crawford was tha
lucky hunter. The other was killed
near Tallman on the Swank farm.
There la much speculation aa to tha
cause of these animals leaving their
old-time haunts and coming down Into
the valley, especially this time of the
year.
