and Dollv Grav were the leading char
acters in the Play, with Bert ueimas

made the Ion rest hits of the day,
Gray allowed fewer hits than the at

the game in the last inning, but clever
work on the part of Cooney shut off
Hogan at second after the little Tld
dislier had captured Oakes' high
grouncer.
For the seven innings it looked as If
the game might be a repetition of the
previous two. The Angels had shoved
r,01d Gawge" Wheeler across the plate
in the fourth Inning on a couple of
blngs and an error.
Then the Boavers got busy in the
eighth. Dolly allowed Groom to walk,
but he was forced at second on Casey's
grounder. Then Cooney came along
with a single which advanced Casey to
third, whence he scored on Johnson's
safe swat.
