Pendleton, Or.. Oct 8. The regular
Ootober apportionment of state and
county school funds is now being
worked out by County School Superin
tendent wanes, wno expects to com
plete his task by tomorrow. The total
Amnunt nf rountv funds to be aODOr-
tioned is 17,768.11, while the state fund
amounts to $10,174.35.
According to the present law the
county fund must be diminished by
several dollars before the per capita
apportionment can be rnde. Every dis
trict whose teacher or teachers have at
tended a county or state institute the
reoulred number of hours is given 15
for each teacher and every district
which has employed alteacher and con
ducted a school the required number
of months, which is four, is given 150.
After these sums are taken out the per
capita apportionment of the county Is
60 cents.
