Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Bush of Bush's
landing, Washington, celebrated the fif
tieth anniversary of their marriage, Sep
tember 26, at their beautiful home, sur
rounded by children and grandchildren.
There are 12 of their 13 children, and 27
randchlldren living, almost all of whom

wedding.
Mr. Bush was born In Indiana, June 8,
1833, and crossed the plains with a
mule team In 1852. Mrs. Bush was born
In Providence, R. I., February 22, 1842.
Since their marriage, in 1868, they have
lived almost continuously on their farm.

This evening the Hassalo Street Con
gregational church gymnasium will be
opened to the public with appropriate
addresses, music, and an athletic per
formance by 16 picked men from the Y.
M. C. A. under. Physical Director A. M.
Grilley. Everybody will be tagged.
The building of and equipping of
this gymnasium with all modern appli
ances and s ho we baths has been warm
ly commended by many people who have
felt the need of such a place for young
people on the east side. A director will
be in attendance and classes will be as
follows:
Monday and Thursday, high school
boys, 3.30 to 4:30; business men, 6:46
to 6:16; young business men, 7:30 to
S:80. Tuesday ana Friday, high school
i ; girls, 8:30 to 4:80; ladies classes,' 2 to
3; young ladies, 6:16 to :16. Wednes
!day and Saturday mornings will be open
'for boys- Saturday afternoons and even

testa. The prayer meeting has been
changed to Wednesday night. Instead of

gatherings of the church will be held
