making his escape Lee Wing was put

took them to police headquarters. Ah
Joe had been working In the hop fields
during the recent season and had added

cumulated, and it was half, of this
money which the highbinder demanded.
The case of disorderly conduct was
postponed in court and will be heard
Tuesday morning. Lulls says that they
have no case against Ah Jo but that

Sue H. Elmore waa stopped by the gov
ernment revenue cutter and taken back
to Astoria. It waa alleged that the
boat carried more passenger than her
license warraniea. Arrangements were

to the steamer and she sailed from
Tillamook at t o'clock the following
morning.
On board the steamer was the Ameri
can Amusement company troupe, which
was to be th main feature at the Til
lamook street fair and carnival, sched-
uled to open Wednesday, September 23.
As a result of the delay the date of the
opening had to be postponed for nearly
three days.
The reiterated declaration of Governor
