learn how the injury waa inflicted.
Late last night tho man became par
tially conscious at St Vincents hos
pital, but fell at onoa into a deep sleep
without speaking an audible word. It
waa feared at first his skull waa frac
tured, but an examination mad by Dr.
C. C Moore, who waa called to the
room, showed that the injury was not
serious.
The landlord told tho officers that tho
man who renta tha room where tha un
known waa found had told him his vis
itor became drunk in tha room and ha
had led him outside, where he fell and
received his injury. By the time tha
policemen arrived tna xormer Host bad
disappeared. s . -
