Izetta Jewell's reputation as a pretty
woman will suffer no dam as as a re
sult of her appearance In "A - Gilded
Fool" at tha Bungalow thla week. As
Margaret Ruthven she haa an opportunity
to wear prettier frocks than ever, to be
aweet and e-lrltah and attractive, and
to nulte caDtlvate her audience, and she
does It all serenely and easily. The op
portunity of watching; Miss Jewell Is

Mayor Lane this morning; vetoed the
ordinanca passed by tha .council at Its
last meeting granting J. Gleckman the
privilege of conducting: hia saloon busi
ness at another location without the
payment of a transfer fee.- Gleckman
had saloon at SO North Third street
but was forced to move his location
when the building waa destroyed by
fire.
The sajoonman applied for permission
to move temporarily while waiting for
the old place - to be rebuilt but he did
not want to pay the transfer license
fee required by law. The mayor could
see no reason for granting tna privi
lege to Gleckman and thinks that such
