(Sperls) Dispatch to Tbs JoorosL)
The Dalles. Or., Sept. 4. The Dalles
Commercial and Athletic club baseball
team has disbanded for the season, on
account of not being able to ecure any
more games. The season haa been quite
a auccessrui one, and there were man:
good games played. . principally wit
Pontland teams. Proepecta for next year
are ror a oetier season tnan tnia year.
The athletic club. will this year take
tne TootDaii team under its wing, ana
this will give the boys the use of the
new showers and batha which were in
stalled this spring. Max' Cohen is cap
tain, and the team will start practice
within a short time. It is expected that
Multnomah will come down here some
time In October. The Agricultural col
lege team from Corvallis and the Che
mawa Indian team "will also pobably
play here. Many of the old Dalles
filayers whos played last year will be
n the game again this year and some
of the veterans who have not played
for several years will also don mole-1
skins. Prospects are that the football
team this year will be better than the
teams or previous years.
