Early Action Expected.
As soon as Mr. Harrlman has given
the final word concerning the building
of the new railroad into central Oregon
and thus relieves himself of this new
business enterprise he has taken up
since coming to Oregon, It Is expected
that he win call a meeting or tne com
mtttee and action taken towards the
oblect to be attained. Harrlman-like, it
is not likely that much time yr( be
consumed in getting down to worn ana
formulating definite plans for bringing
within easy reach of the world one of
the most Ideal nnd entrancing spots
within the boundaries of the United
States.
Mr. Harrlman himself has visited the
lake and has evinced great Interest in
its welfare and has eagerly awaited an
opportunity to give the park and its
mirror-like body or water more pup
llclty. In consequence of his ambition
along these lines it is placed beyond
doubt that he win take an active and
pleasurable concern in promoting the
project wnicn nas already neen wen
launohed and started -on the highway
of success.
Medford and Klamath Falls will
probably be tho two points from which
the auto roads will start. The cities
lie nearly opposite each other on either
side of the Cascades and in a direct
line with Crater lake, which lies on the
summit of the mountains north of the
points mentioned.
