1. It is so fair this August day
The Teddies play along the way.
At many games they have their fun,
. Though leap-frog is the fav'rite one.
2. One naughty Teddy finds a stick
And plays a very well-known trick.
When it is time to vault John's head
He spanks him with a stick instead.

5. Poor Johnny grins as best he may,
But. puzzles to invent a way
To pay them for that blow they smote
When, lo! behold! he sees a goat
4. He waves to Billy then with glee,
And very wisely shins a tree.
The goat looks up with animation,
And needs no second invitation.
, 5. The Teddies wait with backs -hump.
