The Young Turks are Htlll holding,

He pledges himself, however, to rush
the work as rapidly an possible with

Almost a clean sweep has been made
of the palsce corps, and Inspector (Jen

H. C. Brandes, the popular restaurateur, Sixth
street, advertised a six-room furnished cottage for
rent in the famous; Want Columns of The Oregon
Journal and secured a desirable tenant the next (lay.
He requested The Journal to discontinue the ad at
once, as the large number of applicants was a source
of annoyance to his household.
The reason why The Journal gives superior re
sults is simply because in Portland and in Oregon
nearly everyone reads The Journal. It reaches the
masses and the classes, irrespective of creed, politics
or nationality, and is read daily by thousands of pros
perous people who never see any other Portland
paper. It pays to advertise in The Journal.
