Patrolman Keller saw Lemmons
looking In the windows of a
dozen pawnshops and Inspecting 4
every revolver there displayed.
So when Keller and Ehmsen
saw Lemmons board a car last
night and hold his arm tight to
his cheat they were sure he had 4
found a pistol tnat suited him.
At Union avenue and Russell

he was not told. It was a case
of putting two and two together. 4
The revolver was an excellent
weapon which had cost the negro
$18. His hearing was postponed
until next week.

Government analysis of so-called
temparanoe drinks sold In England prove
that they contain from 2 to 12 3-10 per

land take no account, for purposes of
taxation, of beverages containing less
than 2 per cent, but of 4.147 samples of
supposedly innocent drinks examined
i In the last four years 3.098 exceeded
that proportion. Ginger beers and herb
