The one lively spot In the great arena, rain or shine, was the section set nalde for the leather-hinged Americans. Although small In numbers,
the little band with the "rah-rah-rah's" of the Yale men, and "I yell " of the Cornell representatives, drowned the cheers of the other
spectators. The picture wu snapped Just after an American win was announced and shows the enthusiasm of the visitors from the United
States.

Champion Middleweight Is
to Wear Famous Hoo

Neither Bovine Perrlne nor the frisky
Reals- could take that frame from Port-
land ' yesterday, and after Bull chased
Groom In the first Inning Graney went
to the mound and puzzled the southern
ers for the other eight. When he waved
Ote Johnson to the clubhouse a few
minutes later It was thought the team
was at Its end, but nothing could stop
the winning streak. Marshall went to
right field and Ryan .to third, and the
good work went on.
Frisco started scoring right after the
scratcn. Mohler and Hiluebrand were
refrigerated, when Zeider singled. He
nlffled around Danzig b station for
moment, and. Impatient to be off, stole
second. Welehoir was given a base an
balls and Wiliams was safe on John
son s error. Then the Blooraington bud,
'Beck, ripped off a corking two-bagger
Into right field. Both Zelder and Wll
lalms scored.
Graney took tip the work at this
Juncture and kept the Seals to four hits
or the rest of the game.
Portland made it two In the first on
Bassey's hit. Raftery's fielder's choice,
a pair of double steals and Johnson's
two-bagger. Two more were made In
the fifth on Graney's screaming threc
bagger, an ei-ror and hits by Raftery
and Marshall. In the following chap
ter another brace was shoved across.
Hits by Graney, Casey and Bassey with
two down did the trick.
