rendered today by Chief Justice Bean,
the decision of Judge Cleland in the
test case of Francl I. McKenna vs. the
city of Portland, was reversed. The
orlnlon means that the larce bond Issue

tion of en additional conduit to the Bull
Hun river for an Increased wnter sup
ply: for a new bridge to replace the
Madison street structure. nd for an
extenslvs parking and boulevard sys
tem for the city of Portland, voted by

dispatched to Monsstlr today to put
down a mutiny among the sultan's
Macedonian garrisons. The mutiny is
the result of failure of the Turkish

and most destructive hair storm that

curred at Hugo lata Sunday afternoon.
The storm arose suddenly snd at the
close of an unusually hot day. Large
hailstones dropped from the thunder
cloud, stripping tbs trees of leave,
smashing shingle roofs. Injuring csttle
and killing pigs, sheep and young goats.
