Tuesday afternoon the Omega Nu girls
were hostesses with H delightful bars

served at Bonneville and there I'nr
snns' orchestra which had accompanied
them played for dancing. Tle rcturu
trip was made by moonlight.
Wednesday evening the men amused
themselves with a stag hanuuet at the
Commercial club, which nns one of the
most largely attended affairs of the
entire week. Many of the older menu

entertained them with a trolley ride ti

There followed a country supper and
dance and a return ride late at night.

bered as Mrs. Race Whitney, the clever j
soprano who spent a winter In Portland,
is singing in "The Merry Widow" In
New York. She was alternating In the
title role with Mlsa Reba Dale but the
latter has been ordered to rest by her
physicians and Miss Glosz Is carrying
the work alone.
Ms., and Mrs. E. A. Kempe left last
Thursday on a trip to various places
of Interest In Alaska. Their final des
tination will be Valdei, where they will
be the guests of the Rev. Edward Pear
sons Newton, who was a classmate of
Mr. Kempe at Trinity college, Hartford,
Conn. They expect to return about
September 1.
Dr. Frank J. Sladen, who made Buch
an excellent record at Johns Hopkins
Medical college, has returned to spend
the summer with his parents. Captain
