deckloads will consist of planks, none
of them containing more than 16 cubic
feet of material.
The Norwegian steamer Ouernsey Is
to be at the mills of the Portland Lum
ber company next week to finish her
cargo for Shanghai. She is being dis
patched by the L. P. Lee Lumber com
pany, which is also shipping a portion
of the cargo of the British ship Kel
burn. now loading nt Linnton.
The Norwegian steamer Tabor, which
reached Astoria a couple of days ago
under charter to O. V. McXaar & Co.
to load lupiber for Australia, went to
the mills at Knappfon to load.
The British steamer llford will be
here In about a month's tlmo to load a
very high-class cargo of lumber for Co
penhagen and Hamburg, tiie sale of
which was made several weeks ago. The
cargo, consisting of about 3.1)00,000 reel,
will be wortli all of $100,000.

tions of the city and suburbs.
