turn a verdict for the defendant In Vie
suit brought by Carrie Nicholas against
Constable Lou Wagner. The plaintiff
sought to recover 6S2 for the alleged

end of the Morrison street bridge, Jhe
r property being taken under an attach

"W. H. Baker Is distinct from the old

In spite of the warm weather here
there was enlarge crowd present at the
White Temple last night to hear Dr.
Brough'er's views on the subject, "Why
Do Not People Mind Their Owns Busi
ness." The large chorus choif under
the direction of Mr. Malcolm C. Martin,
a noted soloist from Minneapolis, Minn.,
Is doing splendid work. . J.' . '
A large platform Is being built today
to accommodate 100 young people who

Rev. Herbert Spencer j Johnson, pastor
of the famous Warren AvenueBaptist
church of Boston, will preach.Ttnd to

otli the subject, "Man's CuriosUy Is It
Greater Than Woman's?" - Eev. W. B.
Riley. D. D., the brilliant pastor of the
First Baptist church of Minneapolis,
and 'a - widely-known . evangelist, will
speak. Thursday night and continue to
conduct the services until July 6. 'V-
Speaklng on the subject, "Why Dp
Not People Mind Their Own Business,"
Dr. Brougher said In part: "Our mis
sion is the mission of Jesus Christ, for
he said, 'As my father . hath sent me,
even so send I you.' The ; strategic
point In all Christian service Is in
every one assuming the individual re
sponsibility that Jesus .Christ has
nlnr-ad unnn him or her. .There are two
reasons for people not minding their
own business; one Is, they haven't any
business and the other is, they Haven t
any mind. - But , we are here on the
king's business. We are here to use
every faculty that God has given us
to lead people' to Christ. It Is not the
Christian's business to go about finding
things i to condemn. ' It is our
business my business and your bus
iness to come in touch with our
fellow-men, not to condemn . them
but to help them to know Jesus Christ
as their savior."
Dr. Brougher also especially empha
sised the individual ; responsibility of
ach Christian. "We have got to stand
face to face," said he, "with this awful
fact the fact that If we were dead In
earnest ' we could evajtgellce the world
In -one generation by beginning with
only one Christian. If that Christian
should take 12 months to wlni another
soul to Christ there would be two Chris
tians In the world. Then if those two
Christians should each win a soul In
another 12 months it would go on and
on until In 25 years the whole world.
allowing ror tne increase in population,
would oe won ror Jesus 'unrist. it it
is true that a man who does not know
Jesus Christ Is lost to all that makes
life worth the living now and through
all eternity how can we sit indifferent
and unconcerned when Jesus Christ tojd
us to go and spread the gospel? It Is
our business to go and speak to men
and women everywhere and tell them
tnat jesus unrist can save. .,

About
Taste is everything. If a thing does not
taste good to 'you, it seems to be more like
medicine. You have heard people say that
beer tastes like medicine to them. Some
beer does., Not so with PALE BOHE
MIAN. It has a genuinely good, healthful
taste. You relish it and appreciate the ex
pense the brewery has contracted in its en
deavor, to please you. The brewers of
PALE BOHEMIAN justly claim the most
palatable beer made.
Pale Bohemian
has a distinctive taste. There is something
about it that makes you say, the first time
you taste it, "Well, that does taste fine!"
Really and truly, this beer has a taste that
is. different from any other you have ever
.known. It will quite surprise you to learn
that there can be such a difference in the
taste of beer. But PALE BOHEMIAN is
exceptional.' It appeals to the man or wo
man who is' particular.
