Extensive hgh iraeas overlie the Pa
cifio northwest and the upper Missouri
valley this morning and clear skies
prevail in consequence over the entire
western portion of the country, except
along the immediate coast. A disturb'
ance of energetic character overlies the
lower Missouri valley and light to heavy
rains have fallen during the last' 24
hours over ' Kansas, Nebraska, Okla
homa, Missouri and Minnesota, Clear
skies prevail over the entire eastern
seaboard due to a high area overlying
the middle Atlantic coast Tempera
tures over the upper Missouri valloy
were much lower; while over the Great
lakea and the Ohio valley they were
correspondingly higher than yesterday
morning.
The indications point to a continua
tion of the present fair weather over
this forecast district tonight and Sun
