WEATHER REPORT
The depression noted over British
Columbia' last evening has moved east
ward and now overlies Alberta. This
movement has -'been attended by light
rains over western Montana, southern
Idaho and the western Canadian prov
inces. A thunder storm occurred at
Pocatello during the night A pro
nounced high area -overlies the Oregon
coast and clear skies prevail this morn
ing over tha entire Pacific slope. A
belt of - moderate rains extends across
the country from Kansas and Oklahoma
eastward to the Atlantic ocean due to
a depression which, is now passing off
the Carolina coast
The indications point to fair weather
over western Oregon i and western
Washington tonight and Friday and to
rartly cloudy weather with possibly
bunder storms over the remainder of
the district
THE RIVER.
The rapid rise in the Snake river has
been checked to some extent but the
rise of the upper Columbia shows no
abatement It is probable that the
stage of the river at Portland will reach
18.6 feet by Friday morning and 19.3
